Guest Strip - Ryan Estrada

Monday, September 17th, 2007

Hey guys, long time no see. So…what’s happening?

Unfortunately, this guest strip from Ryan Estrada is the last Hate Song strip that you will likely see for a while. I’m just too busy to even pretend to keep on with it. Between my family, full time job, lettering work and the two comic books that I am now working on, there’s just nothing left in me.

It’s been fun while it lasted and I still hold out hope that I’ll one day be able to dive back into it, but I don’t think that it’s fair to keep you all waiting. Thanks for all the good times. I’ll be keeping everyone posted on my new projects through the mailing list and through periodic posts here.

Check out Ryan at ryanestrada.com and the new site he and John have just launched at cartooncommune.com.

For the record, that sucks. Not that I think you’re being unreasonable or something. That’s entirely understandable. But I have been highly trained by the secret masters of humanity to recognize areas of high suckitude, and, sir, it is my duty to declare that we are in a veritable nexus of suck.

  2. Rob Says:

Although you must admit, it was hella good while it lasted.

  3. Syd Says:

Aww noooo…. That’s too bad. One of the finest webcomics - heck, one of the finest comics overall will be no more. Hopefully you’ll keep the archive in place for future generations to read and awe?

  4. Jon Says:

Fred Grisolm you are such a pussy you get your sellout ass back here and give us what we want!!

Or. Alternatively, good luck and we hope you have success!

I’m really sorry that you had to leave this behind, and here is wishing you best of luck in the future. Now I have to try to forget this url and my tendency to automatically type it out to look for updates.

Dude good luck with all your projects and stuff. I’ve really enjoyed Hatesong and tell anyone I know who likes webcomics about it. I hope to see those comic books soon!

Yeah, what different Jon said- going out on a guest comic is lame, especially after dangling the tigerbabies carrot in front of our noses! Fantastic art, your stuff is hilarious, good luck.

Dude, seriously, end this story-line at least. That is majorly fuxed of you to just leave us hanging, waiting to see this half-tiger half-man bastich child. And since SEPTEMBER?
