#212 - It Lives Again!
Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007Well shit. It’s been nearly 5 months since I’ve put pencil to paper. Well, not quite 100% true, but that’s beside the point.
Anyhow, this is not some sort of promise that I’ll be returning to my old posting schedule. My life is still too crazy for that - it’s actually busier than when I stopped Hate Song, but, that too, is beside the point.
The point is basically this. I miss the hell out of Hate Song. At first, not doing it was easy as hell, but after awhile, ignoring the nagging call of Orest, Tim and the Laudermelk clan was too much. So, in one regard or another, I am back.
As mentioned/hinted above, updates may be sporadic. I’ve seen too many comics “return” only to sputter out the following week. I dig you guys too much to make any sort of empty promises. So, I will do my best for twice weekly updates. Likely Mondays and Fridays, but that’s not a promise.
For those who are interested in such things, Jamie Dee Galey and I will be at San Diego Comicon this year — at a table of our own! We’ll be camped out at table M5 in the Small Press Section selling our stuff along with New Reliable Press books.
Also, I’ve mentioned the super hero book I’m working on a couple of times before. The update on that is that it’s been signed to a publisher and will be out later this year or early next. We’re working on the second issue right now and it kicks some serious ass. It’s a little bit of a switch from Hate Song, but I’m sure that you dudes will dig it.

Fucking ace! Like the good Lord it has risen from the grave, except it was a bit slower about it. And it’s still kind of staggering like a drunk zombie.
And it smells like one, t- no, wait, that’s just Brian.
Good to see Hate Song back, and I think we’d all rather have sporadic updates than no updates at all. As long as the mailing list still lets us know when there’s something new(and it seems to, it alerted me to this update.), it’s all cool.

Oh wow.
The best thing in discovering new webcomics and reading through the old archives is coming across a notice that says “Hey, uh, we’re going on hiatus, don’t know if we’ll ever come back…” and THEN reading the next comic immediately afterwards. It’s like dodging a bullet!
Just so youse knows, I would have missed hate song had I known it had been gone.
