#203 - Myspace: No Innocent Victims

Wednesday, January 17th, 2007

Did you guys see American Idol* last night? Hot damn, there was a dude dressed up like Apollo Creed! Said he was dressed like him because he was going to go in there and knock the audition out of the park — only he was dressed like Apollo Creed right before he gets knocked into the afterlife by Ivan Drago. What the crap dude?

Before I forget to mention, I will be at the Vancouver Comic Convention at the Heritage Hall (Main and 15th) in Vancouver this Sunday. You should stop by and say “whut up?” and drop some bills on my table. I got a kid to feed!

The night before, I’ll be at the Vancouver Comic Jam drinking it up and drawing. If you have any interest in drawing, drinking or hanging with comic makin’ folk, swing on by. It’s at the Jolly Alderman Pub at 12th and Cambie.

*Yes, I watch American Idol. Like the OC, it is a guilty pleasure. It’s not a guilty pleasure if you don’t feel guity about it, right?

Yeah, I watched it, funny episode. Tho i like the the one before the “apollo creed”, the girl who made a hysterics an extreme sport. LOL. Letting has-beens tell you “you suck”. People get a band together, drop this puss-pop junk, and get real talent.
Oh. Sorry about the rant, great strip again. Damn Myspace sucks (I only have 5 friends apparently.)

  2. Bryce Says:

I love how in the last panel Lewis resorts to asking god for help even though he’s casually talked to satan in the past.

  3. Jason Says:

I’m waiting for Carl Weathers to return to the strip, hopefully in Apollo (pre-Ivan beat-down) attire to start round 2.

    Ding - ding.

  4. Nick Says:

lmfao I love this myspace shit you’ve been doing lately. Priceless.

  5. Please Says:

Bryce, I think you take religion far too seriously. What I find still odder, is how you think you are going to escape Hell when you read a comic like HateSong.

  6. Lady Chaos Says:

*Makes multiple myspace accounts and adds Lewis as a friend to cheer him up and make the pain stop* XD oh, my poor dear, Orest is so cruel…

Seriously though, myspace is typically an emo thing, whereas Lewis is a goth… in my experience goths show almost as much disdain for all things emo as the rest of the population.

Nonetheless, hilarious happenings, good to see the mickey get taken out of myspace… keep up the good work! :D

What a great strip, I knew people got worked up about myspace, i can just see an emo girl I know spazzing out like that….Also, the OC Rocks!!! Don’t let anyone else tell you different!

Hell, I’m just stoked that my myspace made it in the comic :)

  9. Marc Says:

lewis is more emo than goth as he tends to whine more

  10. Sam Says:

dude! Spam of the century is me! haha, I saw that and had to comment. I now know how background characters feel when they see themselves in blockbuster hit movies.
