Man, sales of the Hate Song mini have been going much better than anticipated. You bastards have had me doing quick sketches all weekend.

I’m feeling a little more confident about the hand lettering. Sure, it’s not perfect, but I think it’s getting better with each passing strip. I’ve found that it is affecting the way that I write the strip, and I really need to get a handle on that. When I was doing it by computer, I would lay in all the dialog as I had it originally planned and then spend anywhere from half an hour to two hours tweaking it. Now I need to get it all down right, the first time. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that it sometimes felt a little daunting.

I could go back to computer lettering and avoid all of this hassle, but there is a large part of me that feels like that would be quitting.
